- Handling
- Calm once settled. Not the first snake if you have never held one.
- Enclosure
- Secure tub or glass with hides on both ends. Size the box to the animal, not the room.
- Heat
- Hot hide 88–92°F. Cool side 76–80°F. A thermostat is not optional.
- Humidity
- 50–60% at rest, closer to 70% in shed.
- Diet
- Frozen/thawed rodents, sized to the thickest part of the body.
